Are you impressed with what ArchSoc has done this year?
Do you have any suggestions on how to make it better?
Would you like to get involved in the committee?
Then please come to ArchSoc’s AGM on Thursday, 8th of November (Flinders University, Room 149, Social Sciences South) at 2pm. We will be recapping what we have done this year, including updates on the ongoing Prospect Hill project. We are also be holding a few referendums, and giving a financial update for 2012.
Executive and General committee elections will also be held, which we highly recommend to those who want to get involved with committee decisions for next year. The positions available are listed in our About Us section of our blog. Prior to the meeting, we will be circulating information on the various tasks committee members have accomplished this year so you can get a better understanding on each of the different positions.
If you would like to nominate yourself, or someone else (be sure you have their permission first!), please send in your nomination to our Returning Officer, Scott Jacob (firstname.lastname@example.org) outlining what position you are applying for. Alternatively, you can nominate yourself at the AGM. You MUST be a current ArchSoc member, and be prepared to give a short speech on why you want to run for that position, and what you can contribute in 2013. Voting will be by secret ballot, and the results revealed on the day. Only current fee-paying (most of you), associate, and life members are eligible to vote.
Even if you don’t want to be part of the committee, we still highly encourage you to come and share your views and recommendations for ArchSoc next year. Your opinions are valuable to us, and lets us know how we can improve our performance for members of the society. And because you are all beautiful people.
If the compliment doesn’t cut it, we will be providing food and drink for you all to enjoy 🙂
Hope to see you then!
